ART CLASSROOM NEWS

March Highlights
Students worked on a clay/printmaking unit:

PreK/Kinder/2nd grade is learning about printmaking and will create their own scratch art paper.
1st grade created woven animals by making a paper loom and weaving using paper strips.

3rd grade is learning about printmaking and creating a mandala stamp.
4th grade is learning about ceramics and creating pinch pots.

5th grade is using clay to create dragon eyes. 6th grade grade is learning about ceramics and creating pinch pots.

Coming in April

April 14th: Join us for our Mother-Daughter Paint Night! Our amazing PTO will be sending out more information soon, including how to purchase tickets and event details.

April 30th is our Art and Literacy Night- Join us for an evening full of creativity, free resources, and fun. more information will be sent out soon.

Additional Information:

Students will be building a digital portfolio through an app called Artsonia. With this app parents can access student’s online gallery, leave encouraging messages, and add family and friends to the student’s fan club. Parents and fans receive email notifications when students publish new art.
